Concrete
Materials: Concrete
Concrete is a versatile material that can take many shapes, colours, and textures in a variety of applications that range from sidewalks to skyscrapers to dams and much more. It consists of cement, water, aggregate, and additives that improve its properties such as durability, strength, workability, and permeability. Concrete is the dominant structural material in Ontario, and at Jablonsky we are concrete experts. Our wide experience with this material allows us to inform our clients of the optimal type of construction for their site, budget, and intended use of the building.

CONCRETE
Cast-in-Place (CIP)
In traditional cast-in-place construction, concrete is poured and set on site. Our services with this material include structural design of the concrete elements, inspection during construction to ensure our designs are followed, and remaining as the Engineer of Record after construction has finished.

CONCRETE
Precast (PC)
Precast concrete elements are poured and set in factory conditions before being brought to site. On site they are assembled with additional concrete and reinforcing. The design of these elements is the manufacturer's responsibility, but a structural engineer's oversight is still necessary. Our services for precast concrete structures include review of the design and installation of precast elements, as well as remaining as Engineer of Record.
